I went full dumbass and the first thing I thought was that Mr. Miyagi was Daniel’s dad. 😂 That then transitioned into what has been talked about over and over within this fandom; the possibility of Kreese being Johnny’s father. That would actually be really cool, like what if Mr. Miyagi knew about the relationship all along and that Johnny was the real “karate kid” who would be the one to ultimately take Kreese down? It would be a good turning point for Daniel too. I kind of feel like we’re overthinking it and it’s going to be a let down but I sure would love if they went that route.

This is going to sound harsh, but I'd be pretty disappointed if Cobra Kai were to reveal Kreese was Johnny's biological father. It's a thematically weak and cheap plot twist, and it's a theory I'd be strongly opposed to if confirmed.

My reasoning gets very long, but I have very strong opinions on this 😭

One of the themes the Karate Kid franchise had always been about was the legacy older generations pass onto younger ones; more specifically, the teachings mentors share to their students influence how they view themselves and the world, as well as how students then behave in society. Being as The Karate Kid is heavily male-dominated, this theme naturally extends to how men influence boys.

Fatherhood is another theme in the Karate Kid. However, the trilogy highlights father-figures and the relationships men build in life more than it does the relationships people are born with or are related to; Daniel's father was revealed to have died many years ago, and we never see Johnny's own father as well (both bio and his stepfather Cobra Kai added).

However, one of the most significant relationships Daniel develops in the trilogy is his with Mr. Miyagi — not only are they karate master and student, but best friends and ultimately family. This is mirrored in Johnny's relationship with Kreese, However, unlike being built on love and respect, brutality and control (or lack thereof) is what makes up Johnny's relationship with his sensei. Johnny is a terrifying war machine because Kreese sharpened him to being a terrifying war machine. Johnny literally repeats Kreese's words back at Bobby during Halloween night because that's what he's been taught and wholeheartedly believes. Johnny still follows Kreese's orders to sweep the leg, even if he was horrified of disgracing his own sense of honor.

In the case regarding Johnny, there doesn't need to be a biological reason why he follows Kreese so strongly in the narrative. The Karate Kid comments on the influences men have on boys, and where this influence can come from any person regardless of relation. Why does Kreese need to be the biological father of Johnny for what he's faced to be more tragic than what it already is? Just so the Karate Soap Opera has another plot thread to tackle?

There is a cruel mundanity to Kreese's mentorship of his star student, one he had the most pride in yet would still ruthlessly punish if he were to disappoint Kreese. There doesn't need to be anything more cosmic about the fact Johnny was in search of a man to look up to, and he found one who was strong and unshakeable and would drop Johnny in a second the moment he failed Kreese. Kreese slithered back into Johnny's life and he accepted him back because the chains holding down were marred into Johnny's skin, not something fate built into his genes.

This is not even mentioning what a mess this would be timeline-wise. How in the hell is Kreese's wang getting tang when he's too busy in Vietnam helping the US commit war crimes. How on Earth would Mr. Miyagi know. Why would a 23 in Me Result help with taking down Kreese, besides a potential heart attack. I'd be so mad if this were to come true.

And I'm sure he would probably help turn the Benbow Inn into a Safe House of sorts, though I'm not sure how well that would go to be honest. So she'll mostly be trying to ask others for help locating people she can't find, searching the shelters and around town. Melody is very confused. She's never experienced anything like this before. after nearly a week trapped within the maze, many have found their way to the center. either a quiet clearing, or a beating heart that appears to be the life force of the maze itself. most citizens have seemed to believe that this was near the end, that it was a sign they'd nearly found there way out, but unfortunately, that's not the case. as you pass out of these sections, you find yourself in the latter half of the maze, and the second half is where the true nightmare begins. gone are the silly monsters and obvious traps, and in their place are true psychological horrors, the likes of which could drive a man to madness. you've survived the first half, but will you make it to the end with your sanity intact?

OOC INFORMATION:

happy spooky season! congratulations to muses who have managed to get through the maze so far, but as they've progressed and adapted so has to maze holding these characters captive. as a result we've got some updates for you in terms of possible situations, as well as a small update to the death table. though we've done chaotic events in the past we wanted to make something that could be considered a proper horror event, and hopefully this table will provide that for all of you! we hope you all have fun with the update and can really enjoy spooky season with this!

THE MAZE:

all of these prompts can be presumed to take place after characters have passed through some midpoint of the maze, however you are not required to write a thread in the middle of the maze in order to progress to the second part, you may simply jump forward whenever you like

please note, these prompts are definitely more intense than the first table of prompts, with many leaning into psychological horror. if you're uncomfortable with many of the prompts you're welcome to stick with the first table for the entire duration of the event. this plot drop is optional.

3- What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

Grow As We Go and Eulogy are up there (and I almost chose the latter) but. Restraint was so much fun. It's smutty and silly and a brand new fandom for me, written for and with the help of a VERY old friend and it's making me new ones too and like. That's all I really want. I just wanna get to make friends and talk to them and share in the joy of living and creating.

I'm getting teary just laying here in bed thinking about it. I love the people I get to meet with my writing so much. This one especially I got some comments about how I made people remember to be kind and love themselves, too, and even if I never make it on the best seller lists or live to be 50; just being kind to one person is worth it.

12- How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?

One novel (the same one since 2019 or so), one Mini Bang, and... a Genshin Impact fic. I'm gonna finish all of them, but I can't really talk about any of them bc two of them are NDAs by design and the GI one will have an undecided amount of a semi-contentious ship. (Yes. It's LuKae.) Granted, it's a bloody whump of a spy thriller so it's not LIKELY the Puriteen book-banning-brigade would enjoy it anyway... but it's still a can of discourse I don't wanna deal with.

15- What WIP are you taking into next year with you?

I'm gonna count these as the PUBLISHED fics, so: I swear to GOD I will finish with your bare hands, with love before RvB s20 drops and also rum on the fire. The former needs the last chapter tweaked a little to smooth the transition into the next scenes, and the former has some plot threads that got a little tangled + needs a more purple-prose style that takes some extra effort to use.

29- Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?

Nnnnnn, that's a tricky one, bc ROTF and Restraint both have some extremely poetic lines... but I gotta give it to Grow as We Go bc it just cracks me up so much and I'm so PROUD of the subtle twist on the common saying.

greetings, themis team! happy pi day. :> first of all, thank you everyone for your active participation in the intro plots! we are thrilled to congratulate our players for reaching the goal of having every muse receive at least 3 reactions! a huge bonus has been unlocked for every player going into the first mission. great work, team!! as we update our internal databases and move forward with the plot, we’d like to remind players that they can continue any backdated threads for chapter one, (𝒅𝒊𝒔)𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, and roll for the interlude, (𝐢𝐧)𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞. we recommend that people participate in the interlude before the drop of chapter two, mainly to familiarize themselves with our FATE tabletop RPG system. as we transition into chapter two, which officially starts on march 25, 2024, players are welcome to post the prologue prompt and pick up any side stories that have no time limit. players can engage directly or indirectly with the side stories, either writing a thread about them, interacting with an NPC, referencing your muse’s actions in a different thread, etc. play as you see fit! we will be dropping a monthly site-φ newsletter — the 𝑷𝒉𝒊-𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒏 — tomorrow and a preview for chapter two on march 18, 2024. there will also be incoming supplemental lore drops, including a detailed breakdown of the resident apartment building for the themis team and a general map of site-φ and its features! since we are processing and onboarding a new member, a modified activity requirement will be posted in the discord for this week. however, we highly encourage folks to plot and create open starters or closed threads with each other! the 𝑷𝒉𝒊-𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒏 will have some side stories players can use for brainstorming. our game is responsive to your muse and what they choose to do in this world. in that regard, players, please have your submit boxes open! THE CYRSTAL GALA! (JANUARY 21, 2023) 💎✨

Linked above is the invitation / announcement post for the Crystal Gala, which takes place in character on Saturday, January 21st at 8PM EST, located at The Barn at Lake Malory in the countryside of Merrock. This event will run from January 18th through 24th on dash, to give you lots of time to enjoy. This is our first event of the year, and as such, we wanted to post some reminders!

In character things that are important to keep in mind:

event is adults only & pets are not welcome.

the entrance fee covers food & drink (see here).

there will be a live string band performing all night.

dress code is formal and should sparkle!

donations go to keeping Lake Malory clean & beautiful.

Some stuff about threads for everyone to read:

pausing/dropping previous threads is not required.

if you choose to pause/drop, reach out & start new things.

threads can be started between the 18th and 24th.

started threads may continue as long as you would like.

open starters are strongly encouraged!

If you have gif chats / dash conversations that you would like to transition to take place at the Gala during the timeline, please just make note of that in the tags, so that the other person knows that it's not being done in 'real time' but rather on Saturday night! Additionally, if you normally queue replies and have a long wait period, we recommend instead posting Gala threads as you do them to avoid a long wait-time for a finished reply to get back to someone. Remember to be patient with non-event replies from others, too, as even if people are not pausing/dropping previous threads, they may want to put a little priority into Gala threads, and that's okay!

I'm so late to this meme, so please forgive me for coming into your inbox like a jumpscare with this! Haha. Even still, I gotta send you in these symbols! I've never gotten the courage to reach out with the cooking ghouls, BUT OH MY GOD, I LOVE YOUR BLOG SO MUCH.

Everything from the personalized graphics for each thread containing your characters featuring imagery consistent with their character and overall roles and theme, such as the ghouls with what looks like black flicked paint and a screenshot of them with their instruments like with Rain, to their era's uniform like with Flora! Or with Special, the imagery of his clasped hands

LIKE, it's the little details that resound to aesthetic beauty and get a feel for their overall characters too!! And the fact that while you have such beautiful graphics, you also make sure to match with your partners and stagger their use, switching out with other icons to bring out the poignancy of larger headers and fill what would otherwise make bigs wall of text without breaks into something that's really broken up and digestible and so personalized, like, now that I write it out it seems really small and nit-picky. Still, it is HEAVEN for how I personally process reading threads and getting a feeling for all the gears moving!!

AND ON THAT NOTE: The way you perfectly transition between actions and speech and even inner thoughts of characters makes all your posts drip with the individuality of the characters and the style and overall voice of your characters and just!!!! It's so awesome, and you inspire me so much in my own writing and really make me want to focus on my own formatting and graphics because seeing your stuff just sparks so much love for the medium and for all the attention to detail that I can only point insistently at my screen and go 'that!! I someday hope to be able to make something that will spark in other people the creativity and drive to write, and format make like you make me!' y'know?? while i did selfishly want to hoard this for a while, i also just wanted to make sure i was giving this the proper attention, because it honestly made my jaw drop. & i screen-grabbed it immediately to show it to my fiancé. i was so unbelievably floored, it honestly was a really true boost to my confidence & a reminder that we're all our own worst critics sometimes. so first of all, no apologies needed because this was the most welcomed ask! i always welcome late memes, & i'm honestly so happy. I DON’T FEEL LIKE DANCIN’ - PLOT DROP #5

You'd think that I could muster up a little soft-shoe gentle sway But I don't feel like dancin', no sir, no dancin' today

The Dance-A-Thon might not have gone as planned, but its not all bad news. As some may remember, after the unfortunate hunter attacks back on Valentine’s Day, your Council was able to restore Lunar Cove to safety and captured a hunter to be held for questioning. Now, after a tiring few months, your Council has some long sought after answers to provide for you.

Your leaders have discovered that the Catalyst, whoever they may be, is not a hunter, but a supernatural. Even more surprisingly is that they were once a prominent figure in Lunar Cove. They only recently began working with the hunters, promising them a list of names of supernaturals and their locations all around the world if they helped them enact the Valentine’s Day scavenger hunt. The Council is currently looking into how the Catalyst collected such a lengthy list of supernaturals, but rumor has it the number one theory is that the list was stolen from the Town archives themselves.

The Council also were able to get information from the captive hunter about an attack that was supposed to take place in Lunar Cove during the start of the Blossom Festival. With this tip, the Council searched the buses of displaced supernaturals heading into town and were able to stop three disguised hunters from getting in, preventing an attack from happening before it began.

Unfortunately, it seems that the Council wasn’t able to completely stop the hunters plans. For during the Dance-A-Thon, with everyone distracted from the ghost on the loose and the curse coming to fruition, it seems as though someone broke into the interrogation room and freed the captive. The camera feed was tampered with so the authorities have not yet been unable to identify who exactly broke in and freed the hunter in the midst of the Dance-A-Thon. But, your advisors, @kadiraksoy , @icexpackxjc , and @conjvred (nesrim), stepped up to the plate, tracking down the hunter and eliminating the threat before they were able to make it past the mirage. Nesrim used her magic to hold the hunter into place while J.C. used their claws and Kadir (violence tw) snapped the Hunter’s neck.

With the Dance-A-Thon and the Blossom Festival coming to an end, Town Hall has held a press event where they’ve acknowledge that the festivities may not have gone as smoothly as they would have liked, but thankfully, Julian Chandler has officially completed their transition as a newly turned vampire and the Council will continue to do everything in their power to keep not only this town safe, but provide you, the Lunar Covians, with the answers on the Catalyst.

REMINDERS

The event is now officially over! Please feel free to continue to react to event starters and write out any event-related threads. But, you also may now post non-event related starters if you so choose or post any threads reacting to any of the above.

As we begin to wrap up this event we also ask that you please make sure you’ve filled out the Wishing Tree survey (https://forms.gle/59PQtKG78FiuUxa66) if you haven’t already. We’re going to be sending out wishes shortly and the Wishing Tree may or may not be tied to a future plot drop, so we highly recommend filling it out if you have the time to (it is not mandatory).

Likewise, if you haven’t filled out the Dance-A-Thon partner survey (https://forms.gle/57k4bGexPcKXyjSg9) you have until Saturday at Midnight EST to. We will be creating a poll where you can all vote for the winners of the Dance-A-Thon and the other event contests then.

For anyone looking to bring in new characters, we are going to go down to one acceptance per week for the rest of the month of May. We have a few plot drops happening in May & June that we’re trying to accommodate. Acceptances will now be on Mondays until the end of May where we will return back to our two acceptances a week.

As mentioned before, given that our Spring Blossom Festival Event is a character-building/character-driven event rather than a plot-driven event, we wanted to try something new and integrate players storylines into fun chaos themed plot drops. We are trying these character integrated style plot drops out and will be dropping an OOC survey in the new few days so that you can give us your feedback as to whether you like them and would like to see more of them or have your character participate themselves. So, please stay tuned for that.

Everyone had their thing. Alastor remembered when Silas would peel the skin off the fingers of witches he suspected of betrayal. When the act of spilling the blood of children was not only common, but encouraged. Back then the demon had a defined purpose, tethered to Vivianne to give the oracle strength, a creature of wrath and power that needed to escape the Inferno as desperately as she’d needed to get out from under the thumb of the oppressive, violent sovereign. Back then Alastor had a purpose, now the arrangement was simple, protect the coven of largely reformed, soft-hearted witches. It was boring at times, but Alastor found ways to entertain himself.

One of the creatures had mistaken his wanderings through the upstairs as an open invitation to be fed from, they’d been mistaken, and now they were suspended off the ground, their back arched as blood slowly trickled from the small wounds that Alastor had created within. Desiccation was usually a slow process, but the demon had come to learn that the process was expedited with blood loss. He felt the presence of another before he heard them at the door, the smell of fresh flowers following the eladrin as they entered.

“You’re interrupting.” Alastor said, unsure if the Spring eladrin would think to jump to the defence of a bunch of vampires, or if the other would be intent to let him continue without any further incident. It wasn’t a flashy death, but there was a satisfaction in observing the torment of something that was gradually turning to stone. Alastor could see the places where the vampire’s skin was already beginning to gray, the pool of putrid blood making a mess on the floor in the process. “Unless you’re here to watch, but for the record, he started it.”

Hi all !!

It has been a wild time with the group and the year is almost over for the Luxor students. We are so excited to kick off the plot drops leading towards the end of this season, and the admin team have decided on a few changes while we finish it up. To ensure this is an enjoyable experience for everyone, the admins want to finish this season’s plot to the best of our abilities, and we believe we can best accomplish this with a structural shift to the group. After our discussions and brainstorming, we have decided to move the RP to discord for the remainder of the season. This way, it will allow us to focus on the execution of the rest of the plot, along with giving our dedicated members a space to build integrated, in-depth connections with the other muns and muses in the rp, while (of course) still enduring the torment from the Unhinged !!

We understand that this may not be what some people signed up for, but we want to refine our plot drops so they're manageable and digestible for our members, and would love to have you all stick around with us through this change. For those of you who might not have experience with discord rp, you can find information on how it’s structure and how it will work under the read more, and we will be around to answer any questions, concerns or confusions that might come up and will be here every step of the way through the transition.

Once you have read this, please like this post, and if you plan to stay, please send us a message on the main by next Friday, March 31st. After that, we will take a short hiatus on the main to get things organized before we announce the big cross over. You are welcome to continue all threads and start some new ones during this hiatus, as well as wrap up any threads on the dash even after we switch to discord. DISCORD RP INFORMATION

For those of you who may not have been with us, we did spend time previously on discord, and found it very successful, which is what helped make our decision to proceed this way with the rest of the plot. Discord RPing is not the same format as live events, though we will still occasionally have our same live events that occur already. In a Discord based RP, each mun has a own category where they can have regular threads, much like how it’s done on a tumblr dash.

The formatting we have decided to proceed with is setting up mun pairing categories, with character pair channels, which can contain each of their threads as discord threads, so the dynamic is easily explored by anyone who wants to see what is going on. You can see the format of this as below:

do NOT give money to tumblr user roboticwheelchair

Hi, so you’ve probably seen this post or some of its permutations on this website lately! (The old version of this post broke because I mistakenly deleted it. Let’s try this again, shall we?)

This is a “RAFFLE” for a Nintendo Switch Lite and the poster is asking people send them $10 to earn a spot in the raffle, of which there are 52. People have already sent money in.

This post was made by user roboticwheelchair and the name which currently displays on their paypal is “Mick Garcia” - it’s very possible you’ve heard their story already from several weeks ago. User roboticwheelchair claims that they were physically assaulted for being a transgender man, and that they sustained a concussion.

The BAD news is that roboticwheelchair is a blog which has been on tumblr for a very long time, and used to belong to someone named Falum Gibson. You may have heard this name from their #justice4falum campaign ages ago. They are a notorious scammer and has been doing this since 2016. LET’S REVIEW (LONG, LONG, LONG POST AHEAD.)

Part 1: #BieberMeetFalum and Meeting Ed Sheeran

In 2016, Falum ran a Justin Bieber fan account on Twitter called @bieberfreezer (account has since been suspended). They began a campaign called #BieberMeetFalum by posting a Twitter thread about their disability, cerebral palsy, and how they had intended to meet Justin Bieber personally because his music was important to them. However, the venue he was performing at was not wheelchair accessible and Falum uses an electric wheelchair. They were trying to get the attention of him or his team in order to ensure they met. This was a reasonable thing to post about! Accessibility is a necessity. We know this. And they weren’t asking for money. Twitter got this the attention it needed and they were able to meet Bieber despite the trouble. (LINK)

Later on, they gunned to meet Ed Sheeran and succeeded.

Part 2: #TaylorNoticeFalum

In 2018, Falum was on Tumblr as user taylorsgetawaycarxo. At this point they still say they have cerebral palsy, but has also said they have COPD (something they later will drop.) Claiming that they are terminally ill and has 2 years left to live, they talk about how Taylor Swift is their idol and they want to meet her before they die.

This came right after they had done the same thing with Demi Lovato fans, claiming they idolised Demi and needed to meet her, so on and so forth. They ran a GoFundMe for this.

The GoFundMe is now defunct, but the URL was “falumlastwish” I believe. Here’s where the plot gets a little lost, because the sheer number of different GoFundMes, donation posts, and meet-a-celebrity campaigns that Falum was running in these couple of years is... pretty wild. There’s a post from another blog here on Tumblr about the Taylor Swift fandom’s run-in with them. (LINK)

Here’s a GoFundMe they ran from a music fan account on Instagram, where they were asking for help escaping homelessness. They raised almost 5,000 dollars out of the 10,000 they were asking. (LINK)

At some point they also ran a GoFundMe for a PTSD service dog. I’m not sure how much they were asking for this one, but they apparently made $880 off of it.

Part 3: Ellie Elizabeth

This part is a little muddled, because the tumblr blog connected to it has been deleted and it’s really difficult to find archives of the posts, but at some point in early 2019 Falum started using the blog ellie-elizabeth21 to ask for money as well. The story was that they were being sent to conversion therapy for being bisexual by their father, who had them deemed legally mentally incompetent. Further stories they posted about were potential evictions, needs for grocery money, etc.

“Ellie” also ran a GoFundMe to escape conversion therapy. Although the person running the campaign was listed as Ellie Elizabeth, the “beneficiary” listed on the campaign is Falum Gibson, proving that Ellie was another pseudonym - just a better hidden one. This was Ellie Elizabeth’s PayPal account at the time, I believe? And anyway, you might note that they apparently made nearly $6,500 on this account.

Part 4: #Justice4Falum

Now in November of 2019, Falum moved away from the world of Fan Internet and decided to try out something new. They made the blog roboticwheelchair in September of 2019 and reblogged a photoset of cats to it, which for a while was the only thing on the blog besides the donation post they initially made. They’ve gone through a cycle of reblogging and deleting things there, basically clearing out the blog every couple of weeks to make a new post.

At this point they were also @falumgibson on Twitter. The account has since been locked. This is when they posted a GoFundMe describing medical abuse they were allegedly undergoing at the Ottawa Hospital. Weird side note, this GoFundMe is still running and can be donated to, though obviously I’m recommending you don’t do so. (LINK)

They made several donation posts on Tumblr about this campaign, frequently linking it or their PayPal account and asking people to donate. Sometimes it was to go directly to their legal fund for this lawsuit, other times they were asking for money for medications or other immediate costs.

Side note, they had claimed to be in the hospital since August of 2019 due to suicidal ideation and claimed they had been psych warded. From what I can tell, the Ottawa Hospital General Campus they claimed to be hospitalised at does not actually have a psychiatric ward. It has a mental health team, but they appear to do outpatient work. It’s not really clear what they were in the hospital for at this point.

#Justice4Falum was originally about fundraising for a place to live because apparently they were in danger of being forced to leave the hospital due to homelessness. Later on they turned it into a legal fund to sue the hospital for mistreatment.

Part 5: Further Fundraising, Coming Out As Trans

While Falum was in the hospital, they started identifying as nonbinary. I’m not in any position to speculate about whether or not Falum is transgender, because that’s honestly not the point. Either way, they have started using their trans identity in much the way they use their disabilities - as a way to garner sympathy and trust, and to scam people out of money.

On their Twitter at this point, they did seem to have kind of a bizarre interpretation of how transition worked and appeared to be under the impression that the first thing trans men do is get top surgery? (LINK)

Shortly after this, still during the November that #Justice4Falum ran during, they began asking for donations to a different PayPal account than their normal one, because their stepdad was dying of cancer. There was a GoFundMe for this as well, but it appeared to feature their parents and was possibly not created by Falum.

No date on this tweet unfortunately, but right after that, they made a post about how they had been outed to their transphobic father and needed to escape living with him.

At this point, Falum has added several diagnoses to those they claim to have. In addition to cerebral palsy, they now claim to have multiple sclerosis and several mental illnesses. No more COPD, though! I’m very impressed that they recovered from a terminal illness!

Now that they’re out of the closet, in early December they begin making donation posts on Tumblr again and have now made a Patreon. (LINK: POST) (LINK: PATREON) Soon after this, they apparently left their home and became homeless, and started posting about this on Twitter and linking their PayPal.

In late December they posted on Twitter about having attempted suicide by taking 75 extra strength Tylenol. Warning for a photograph of their IV in this link. (LINK)

Not very long after, Falum returned to their narrative of being terminally ill by posting about how their multiple sclerosis (something they have only claimed since 2019, I believe) causes them over 20 seizures a day and will eventually kill them. (LINK)

Then they locked their Twitter account and decided to try something new.

Part 6: Connor Kay, “anontransman”

Enter Connor Kay. At this point Falum makes a new Twitter account called @ConnorIsTrans which eventually morphs into @anontransman. They initially link this account to their old main account, saying that they’ve switched in order to be openly trans on their new account because their transphobic father is stalking them. (LINK)

They continue asking for donations on Twitter, now with a Ko-Fi account called Connor Rocks.

They also post a story about an ex-friend of theirs spitting on them for being trans, apparently, and say they’re calling the police on her, which really doesn’t seem like something that’d be safe for a disabled trans person to do but whatever. (LINK)

On their blog at roboticwheelchair, they post stories about how they are being assaulted and mocked for being transgender. I should note that on Twitter they’ve said they are not out IRL and have not taken steps to transition.

Not only does this particular story sound kind of like the “down with cis bus” post, it’s also somewhat suspect that they allege they were called a tr*nny as an AFAB trans person, given who is generally targeted by that word. But. Moving on.

When the COVID-19 pandemic came around, Connor created a Facebook group for disability support. This was run by the Facebook account Connor Kay, which has since been deleted. It was the same account that they used to have and they’d not changed anything except for the name; prior posts showed it was Falum Gibson’s account.

It turns out they deleted this Facebook account because someone on Facebook posted about their years-long history of scamming people online. Here’s a link to an imgur album of some of the Facebook callout and the images the OP posted. (LINK)

So Falum, or Connor, decides to start anew with an all new PayPal, Ko-Fi, Patreon and Twitter account. At this point they begin to break away from linking these accounts to the name Falum Gibson and their past donation posts, although they are still using the same Tumblr blog. They change their Twitter handle to @anontransman and remove links to Falum. (TWITTER SCREENCAP) (KO-FI SCREENCAP) (PATREON SCREENCAP)

Then they tweet about how they have been diagnosed with cancer. (LINK) Then they begin asking for $100k to go to the US for treatment. (LINK)

Soon after, this Tweet has been completely deleted and they have instead started asking for money for top surgery. (LINK) I believe this is in reverse chronological order, but here are a week’s worth of tweets from them - all deleted at random times in order to make room for the others - asking for money for various reasons. Yes, this was all literally within the same week. (LINK)

Note the very last image of that album contains a reference to an “Amazon Raffle” - they were basically telling people that donations would win them a spot in a raffle for an Amazon gift card or something? It seems they moved on from the @anontransman account before the raffle could come to fruition, or possibly that they just deleted all references to it. Not sure.

In April of 2020, roboticwheelchair posted a specific donation post about being attacked for being transgender and sustaining a concussion. They said they did not see a doctor after the assault because they didn’t think it was important, so their concussion went untreated and because of it they were unable to get groceries. The donation post linked to Connor Kay’s PayPal account. It was deleted and reposted several different times, with basically the same text.

Part 7: Mick Garcia

This is a more recent post with the exact same story, now about their multiple sclerosis medication. The only difference is now that the PayPal link sends you to the PayPal of Mick Garcia. Mick Garcia has a different PayPal username than Falum, Ellie, and Connor did.

On April 12th, the @anontransman account deactivated after Falum, or Ellie, or Connor, or Mick decided to leave Twitter. Then yesterday on April 19th, it reactivated and they tweeted once again.

However, around this same time, another Twitter account under the name Mick Garcia with an icon @anontransman used to use and a very similar tone/style cropped up.

The Mick Garcia account has not tweeted yet, as it appears that they may be staying with @anontransman for their current purposes, but it appears that for some reason or another they’ve decided to start going by Mick Garcia now.

I guess it’s probably relevant to note that while I suppose there are probably some white people out there with the last name Garcia, Falum is really seriously white and it’s suspect they would pick out Garcia as a pseudonym, whether they list “white” in their Twitter bio or not.

More from the current state of the roboticwheelchair blog includes many, many posts where they’re either reposting their own petitions or basically grabbing for as many followers as possible. You can probably guess why. (LINK)

Finally, The Switch Raffle

Literally today, April 20th, roboticwheelchair posted something that is allegedly a raffle. They claim to be giving away a Nintendo Switch Lite to a lucky winner. There are 52 slots in the raffle; they are asking that people send them $10 over PayPal in order to enter. They’re also claiming this is to further fundraise for their medication.

They are claiming their doctor has put them on an MS medication that costs $450 every two weeks. (Note that if they’re trying to make money for that right now and also going to buy a Switch for the winner, than they’d only have about half of that at the end? The Switch Lite is about $260 in Canada and their total earnings from a full raffle would be $520.)

You should not give money to them for this raffle, or for any reason. The reason I’m compiling all of this is because after months of seeing them pull this scam over and over again, they’re now promising people an actual product that given their history, I would say they are highly unlikely to deliver.

Given their past, it is most likely they will delete this raffle once they have the money they want, and refuse to allude to it ever again. Or maybe they’ll just disappear! Or hell, maybe they’ll have some kind of nebulous problem ordering the Switch when someone wins, and that’ll be that.

But it’s clear based on this history, I hope, that Falum or Ellie or Connor or Mick has a long history of taking lots and lots of money from strangers online. Like, a lot of money. My estimate is that they’ve made over $15k on this, and that’s exclusively based off of the visible numbers on their GoFundMes and Ko-Fi accounts.

Please do not give this person your money. They are not trustworthy. There are other people who need it - like you, or maybe like, someone you personally know and not some complete stranger who keeps telling people they’re terminally ill so they can meet a cool musician.

Disclaimer

I’ve compiled all of this information to the best of my ability, but I am just one person and it took a lot of digging due to the deleted accounts involved.

Falum is actually disabled; I believe they do have cerebral palsy and may have other disabilities. I do not know if they really have MS, but it’s hard to trust them because they previously lied about having terminal COPD.

I have no idea if Falum is really transgender or not. They have apparently taken no concrete steps to transition, which I know means very little. That being said, if they are transgender, they are leveraging their identity in dangerous ways against other people for money and sympathy. Their stories about being assaulted by strangers for being transgender are highly suspect, given their lack of transition and the fact that the scenarios they describe are highly cliche.

Finally, I’m not trying to harass Falum or threaten them in any way. I don’t know them. If they’re interested in talking candidly about what they have been doing all these years and why, that’s fine. I would honestly love to understand, but at this point it seems like the only thing they can do is apologise for their dishonesty and stop doing this.
